Clay refractory mortar joint material fire clay slurry strong bonding strength
Refractory mortar is an unshaped refractory material used as a joint of refractory masonry, also known as joint material. It is composed of a certain proportion of refractory powder, binder and admixture, and is adjusted into a slurry by adding water or liquid binder.
Clay-based refractory mortar is based on hard clay clinker and is combined with soft clay or chemical binder.
It is mainly used for joints and repairs of furnaces made of clay bricks such as blast furnaces, hot blast stoves and boilers.
Characteristic of clay refractory mortar:
1. Good plasticity and convenient construction;
2. Strong bonding strength and corrosion resistance;
3. High refractoriness;
4. Good resistance to slag invasion;
5. Good thermal spalling.
