Tap-hole mix for smelting electric arc furnace is mainly used in the taphole of large-scale smelting electric arc furnace. The high-tech products with material composition, particle grading distribution and comprehensive properties were developed by selecting varieties of suitable raw materials for scientific matching through a large number of experiments.
Through a large number of tests, several kinds of single or composite type non-polluting binders were selected to avoid generating flue gas with hazardous materials in the use of tap-hole mix and improve the working environment.
The tap-hole mix for smelting electric arc furnace developed has the advantages of less pollution, easy blocking, and erosion resistance.
Advantages of tap-hole mix for smelting electric arc furnace:
1. The tensile strength is high, and it is of great significance to maintain the stability of the blast furnace condition (tapping depth, tapping time fluctuation, total air blocking rate, etc.), so that the blast furnace has the basis for increasing production.
2. Strong slag resistance. The tap-hole mix consumption is low, generally one-fifth of the hydrous tap-hole mix.
3. It has certain expansion performance.
4. With suitable porosity and strength, it can adapt to the use of large blast furnaces over 2000m.
